Meet our Founder and Lead Travel Photographer Mike McHale of 4M Photography. All Destination Presets have been personally created and tested by him to the highest of quality standards. His quest for perfection sometimes has him devoting hours of time to a single preset trying to create the best location presets available. All presets sold are tested on ACTUAL mobile phone photos from the exact location of the Destination Preset Product being sold, so you know they work.

      While posting his travels across the United States he realized how much his family & friends were living vicariously through his travels and enjoying all his social media photos. Spending his days hiking over 600 miles yearly, took him to remote locations with breathtaking and spectacular views. He also has found a new love for doing Astrophotography from some of the darkest skies in Utah producing some awe-inspiring Milky Way photos.

      One day while modifying his photos with Lightroom Classic on his laptop, he realized that a FREE Lightroom for Mobile app version was available for his newer mobile phones. Downloading some of his presets to his mobile devices he found that he could SNAP photos and MODIFYING them with 1-CLICK while standing in some of the most remote wilderness locations without even needing a connection. This allowed him to modify them on location to look more visually appealing and represent an image that was more realistic of what he was actually seeing. After posting his modified images on his personal social media accounts he immediately noticed that his comments, wow’s and loves increased dramatically.

      After spending almost 2 years traveling and modifying photos, he noticed that no one in the preset market was offering real modifications based on actual locations. He had been making these for his own personal use but soon realized how many people were in awe at what they were seeing and soon people began asking for his settings. At that time everyone in the preset market was offering nothing more than generic presets that had a broad range of coverage, but nothing that was specific. After downloading various other presets on the market, he soon realized the frustration other people were facing wasting money on presets that never worked. And the idea of “Destination Presets” was born.

       Now sharing his exact settings from all his travel destinations and the desire to give people presets that actually work, using all his knowledge with the professional settings that photographers use in their post-production of images. Now you can have the same settings that Mike McHale produces and uses for his own photographs.
